I love you, I love you not…

So it’s pretty safe to say I was slightly hanging off the 9th cloud this morning as I rolled out of bed. The swelling from surgery has gone down and they’re not quite as perfect as they were yesterday. Since I’ve woken, I’ve paced around my house flashing myself about a zillion times along the way in every single mirror I can get in front of to pick apart every little detail I can think of. It’s been exhausting, to say the least. I like them, I don’t like them, that side feels different than that side, and on and on and on…

Luckily, an unexpected phone call from my dear plastic surgeon came through and put my mind at ease. After speaking with him, he gave me the full-fledged lowdown on how he performed the operation and what to expect over the next few months. Long story short – I’ll more than likely be going back in April for some minor tweaking which will be perfect timing since swim suit season will be right around the corner! What’s even better is that this is pretty common which means I don’t have to feel like a nagging nut! In all seriousness, however, I couldn’t be more pleased with the initial outcome. I still find it hard to believe that a woman can look so much like a woman after a mastectomy! So, in that sense, my heart is very happy.

I posted the results from yesterday’s operation under the Peep Show link for those of you interested in seeing the new girls. Just wanted to give a quick update! We’ll see how things come along over the next couple of weeks!

Tata for now!
