Finally! No. More. DRAINS.
Not only that, but I’m finally in the clearing to bebop around town via my automobile (in short spurts, of course). Hell, I could technically run amuck down my neighborhood streets driving a scooter, should I so desire! Though my vehicle is nothing to brag about, I’ve missed ole Betsy these last few weeks! Being able to finally get behind the wheel again reminds me of turning 17 and finally getting my driver’s license. Aside from the fact that it took me over a year to get up enough guts to drive on the highway instead of the service road, most of my reflections of that time in my life are happily heightened at the moment (hence the reason I got my DL a year later than my peers).
Nothing major came out of today’s doc visits, but my breast surgeon was elated when she saw the post op product thus far. I received my first saline fill for my expanders so things are beginning to round out a bit, as well. If at all possible, imagine a balloon that also feels like a boulder, as that is exactly how my chest feels – like boulder balloons. Hmmm… wondering if I could coin that term. It’s like two rocks that have expanded ever so effortlessly, and with ease. Sounds super, right? Ugh! December 5th, December 5th, December 5th…
I couldn’t be more pleased with how things have turned out cosmetically. I’ll definitely have a couple of scars from where the drains were, but it’s a small price to pay in exchange for my life!
For all of my other daring dolls out there that are gearing up for an upcoming surgery, just remember that you’ll be up and at ‘em in no time! Today I am at a full three weeks post op and I’m doing just fine. I understand that everyone’s situation will be slightly different, but a positive attitude and keeping busy have been huge key factors in helping me along. So here’s to all the hottie totties who’ve dealt with or are dealing with this “B” from the past, present or future! This one’s for y’all! “Clink!”
